# Rangers & Villains

Warrior FAQ

### 1. What is the difference between a "Ranger" and a "Villain"?

In terms of pure combat mechanics (punching and kicking), there is **no difference** between a ranger and a villain. A Villain can block, strike, and dodge just as well as a Ranger. You can also mix them freely; your team can consist of a Ranger Leader with two Villain Assists.

However, the distinction matters for **Content & Bonues**:

* **Missions:** Daily or Event missions often require specific tags (e.g., "Win 3 matches using a Villain Leader" or "Deal damage with a Power Ranger").
* **Megazords:** Originally, only Rangers could pilot Megazords (like the Dino Megazord) and Villains piloted Giant Monsters (like Goldar). While this rule has relaxed slightly with updates, your roster of pilots is still generally split by alignment.
* **Raids:** Some Raid nodes have modifiers like "Villains deal +50% Damage," making it crucial to have leveled-up characters of both alignments.

### 2. How does Rarity affect gameplay?

Rangers and Villains come in four rarities: **Common (Grey)**, **Rare (Blue)**, **Epic (Purple)**, and **Legendary (Gold)**.

* **Starting Moves:** Legendary characters often have more complex or unique moves (like unblockable attacks or status effects) compared to Common characters.
* **Stat Scaling:** A Level 1 Legendary is much stronger than a Level 1 Common. However, Commons are easier to level up. A Level 13 Common might actually have higher raw stats than a Level 2 Legendary.
* **Drop Rate:** Legendaries are extremely hard to find in boxes. Free-to-play players often find it easier to compete using high-level Rares or Epics rather than low-level Legendaries.

### 3. Why are there multiple versions of the same character?

Because the Power Rangers multiverse is vast, different iterations of the same person are treated as separate warriors.

* *Example:* **Tommy Oliver** exists in the game as:
  * Green Ranger (Mighty Morphin)
  * White Ranger (Mighty Morphin)
  * Black Ranger (Dino Thunder)
  * Lord Drakkon (Comic Universe Villain)
* Each of these is a distinct character with their own shards, moves, and level. Upgrading Green Ranger Tommy does **not** upgrade White Ranger Tommy.

### 4. How do I unlock a specific Ranger or Villain?

* **League Requirement:** Check the character's info. If it says "Found in League X," you generally cannot get them from boxes until you reach that Rank.
* **The Shop:** The "Warrior Shop" rotates daily. This is the most reliable way to target a specific character using Coins or Crystals.
* **Offers:** New "Premium" characters are usually locked behind paid offers or special chance boxes for a few months before they are released into the general loot pool.

### 5. What is a "Premium" Warrior?

A Premium Warrior is a character that was recently released.

* **Availability:** They cannot be found in free Morph Boxes or standard corruption boxes.
* **Acquisition:** You can usually only get them by buying special shop offers or placing high in specific challenges.
* **release Cycle:** After several months, a Premium character is usually moved to the "Standard Pool," meaning you can finally find them in normal boxes and unlock them for free.

### 6. Can I discover Warriors from previous Leagues?

Yes! Once you reach a League, any Warriors from that League may drop for you onward. You do not need to lose medals (de-rank) to get a chance to discover Warriors from previous Leagues.
